The Basics - The Zeus Bot its a Helper and a Deathmatch bot, in single player you can have a powerfull helper and when you feel like playing deathmatch it gives you a damn cool opponent. It has some things that i don`t like very much... and soon i will tell you as the review goes on, so read the review!!!. The Helper Bot - I use the bot on different maps, but im gonna talk about the e1m1 game. The bot helps you.. but i think it helps you too much!.. the bot sees a enemy and bang!.. you wonder: hey what is he shooting at??.. and then you see all the enemies on the floor.. dead. It picked all the things.. (weapons, ammo, health) pretty fast too, lucky you have an impulse to make him drop a backpack. I love the Radar thingy on the screen, its pretty cool, in fact.. ITS PRETTY COOL. The thing that i hated the most was when the bot talked or maked the enforcer sounds... lucky me (again) it has an impulse to get rid of the talk and the sounds. Other thing that i liked was the impulse that lets you see what the bot its seeing. I think if you want to play single player with some help dont use this bot... it doesnt lets you play, i recommend using cujo. The Deathmatch Bot - The Zeus Deathmatch bot, its a good and pretty hard to kill bot, i was sweating when i played this bot, but it does the thing that i hate the most on a bot!!!... it talks!!.. i dont like bots talking .. but anyway...the talk at least when it prints it at the screen its does it with the right colors, not like the Eliminator Bot. The Deathmatch feels cool.. i played like an hour or so... but im still loyal to the reapers. The worst thing when Deathmatching its asking for the scores... you type an impulse and the scores appear at the console... and they`re like on a alien language, because it took me a minute or more to find the scores. The bot uses to much CPU time... my p133 with 32 megs was getting slow on the start map!!.. and with only 4 bots. I think the bot its cool, but it needs some little ajusments. The Features - It has some cool features, you can make the helper bot attack only with the axe (it does it very cool), you can make the bot roam, you can use some debuggs commands, like make the bot tell you about unreachable items, it has some cool god mode... it makes the player stop felling impacts when hurt, the bad thing is you can use it on deathmatch (LLAMA`S CHEAT). So, what do i think? - I think the Zeus bot its a good bot, and its worth the download (i did it), it gives you a cool deathmatch experience, and a pretty good Nanny when single player. With some ajustments it would be a kick-butt bot, so lets wait and play. |
